How You'll Make an Impact

Support the Supply Chain in developing new suppliers and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
Analyze material properties and their impact on product performance.
Compare material properties using datasheets to identify optimal options.
Ensure materials meet environmental and performance standards.
Develop and execute test plans to validate material properties.
Collaborate with laboratories to ensure accurate test results.
Evaluate test results and make informed decisions on material qualification.
Drive the standardization of parts and materials to improve efficiency.

Your Background

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience. A PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience is also considered.
Work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
Familiarity with material characterization techniques and manufacturing processes.
Experience in Production, Quality Assurance, and Supplier development in the Metal industry.
Knowledge of material standards (ASTM, ASME, etc.) and experience with AutoCAD, Creo, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Windchill, SAP.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
