We are looking for a DevOps engineer to drive innovation and solution development in support of software development for Hitachi Energy. In this role you will collaborate with dynamic global technology teams with industry competences and using cutting-edge technology. You will be developing the power grids of the future, creating AI based software that is used by Hitachi Energy customers to make decisions that help them manage critical infrastructure and assets.

How You Will Make An Impact 

  • Develop and document the continuous deployment build and release process.  

  • Build scalable and secure production high availability environments using Microsoft Azure knowledge of other cloud providers will be an asset)

  • Troubleshoot build and release issues.  

  • Continuously improve the continuous delivery tool chain and associated processes towards more automation and shorter turn-around times.  

  • Define custom metrics, alarms, dashboards in alignment with operational goals.  

  • Advise development teams on SW configuration management/branching and test automation strategies.  

  • Serve as a member of a cross-disciplinary team (active participation in team activities that focus on a common goal).  

  • Implement security principles at all stages of deployment

Your background

  • You have a degree from university in computer science/engineering or other relevant education. 

  • Strong experience with Azure cloud platform and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

  • Ability to create, customize, and manage application deployments using Helm packaging.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as code using Terraform.

  • Understanding of monitoring solutions including Prometheus and Grafana.

  • Experience with log aggregation and analysis using Loki.

  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL database administration in cloud environments. 

  • Knowledge of cloud and container security principles including access management, vulnerability scanning, secret management, and security monitoring. 

  • Knowledge of AI solutions and MLOps will be an asset
