Procurement Senior Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strategic Buyer to join our procurement team of three buyers in Brno. We are expanding our team and looking for an additional member. Your supply market is global, however

primarily in Europe, but there is also the possibility of sourcing from in Asia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier

negotiations and development, and cost optimization. This role requires a

proactive and dynamic individual who can drive procurement strategies,

negotiate contracts, and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Availability for production is the by far most important objective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with overall business goals.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines, and continuous supplier development.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Negotiate contracts and coordinate supplier integration plans with internal clients.
  • Monitor market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing.
  • Partner with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, support product development projects, identify demand, supply and market trends

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in science and supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably in a senior role.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, including SAP4HANA.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • English a must, German an additional language is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Ability to influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
