Software Architect

We are seeking a driven Software Architect to join our dynamic team in Ludvika, Sweden. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation HVDC control and protection systems. As part of the HVDC team at Hitachi Energy, you will support the energy transition to renewable energy resources through HVDC transmission connections.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive development of future virtual Control & Protection (vC&P) frameworks and multi-terminal DC system simulation models

  • Design and implement next-generation HVDC Control and Protection systems

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation

  • Support and guide relevant stakeholders in best practices and architectural principles

Your background

  • Proven experience in software architecture and system design

  • Experience working with HVDC systems and control technologies

  • University degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Control Theory, or similar

  • Good communication skills and proficient in English since you will be part of an international setting where you will get to exchange knowledge with people globally

  • You are passioned about sustainable energy solutions and innovation

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
