R&D Engineer for DTR StarLiquid Product Platform Standards

Job Description

Mission Statement:

Contribute to development of global technical, material and production standards as well as their maintenance concerning Distribution Transformers StarLiquid product platform. Proactively discover and respond to demands from stakeholders. Deliver changes to standards and publish artifacts according to agreed priorities. Drive communication to boost implementation of standards in receiving units.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Introduction of changes to global technical, material and production standards
  • Understanding of impact brought by changes, assessment of implications
  • Keeping track of changes with rationale, following workflows while publishing documents
  • Usage of document management system and repositories
  • Cooperation with technical experts to resolve technology gaps
  • Proposing actions necessary to introduce changes with acceptable effort and risk
  • Assure long-term perspective while introducing changes to standards
  • Communication with stakeholders impacted by changes
  • Evaluation of stakeholders satisfaction
  • Introduction and tracking KPIs to monitor service performance
  • Proposing and undertaking improvements to service

Challenges:

  • Multiple technologies within Distribution Transformers products portfolio
  • Resolving already collected backlog of requests
  • Debt in global technology documentation
  • Gaining buy-in from receiving units and effective implementation of changes in standards
  • Working with globally distributed and multi-function organization

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Engineering title with master’s degree, preferable in electrical, mechanical or product engineering or similar field
  • Understanding standard body of knowledge in a technical field
  • Ability to use external/internal standards and regulations
  • Usage of various communication channels
  • Change management process understanding
  • Project management experience (will be a plus)
  • Familiar with document management systems (will be a plus)
  • Transformers technology (will be a plus)
  • Ability to make technical judgements in a field of expertise
  • Understanding technical documentation and drawings
  • Preparing technical specifications and process description
  • Analytical skills
  • Evaluation of tasks effort and prioritization
  • Self-driven, motivated, and autonomous
  • Time management
  • Attention to details, focus on quality
  • Good presentation and communication skills
