Product Manager - Medium Distribution Transformers

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of energy? As a Product Manager – Medium Distribution Transformer at Hitachi Energy, you'll play a crucial role in managing and introducing innovative products into our portfolio. This position offers the flexibility to work from Jefferson City, MO, or remotely, allowing you to collaborate with diverse teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management. You'll be at the forefront of product specification, standardization, and customer approval processes, ensuring seamless integration into production lines and meeting customer requirements. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

 

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Define product specifications and features based on customer requirements and market trends.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify product gaps and opportunities.

  • Translate customer needs into detailed product requirements, including technical specifications and quality standards.

  • Establish product standardization guidelines to ensure consistency in manufacturing processes.

  • Coordinate customer approval processes, including product samples and prototypes.

  • Liaise with customers to understand their specific product requirements and manage expectations.

  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams to resolve product-related issues.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and drive product enhancements based on feedback.

 

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in product management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong understanding of product development processes and manufacturing techniques.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and customer insights.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • 25-50% Traveling
