Senior Service Sales Manager

The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Service Sales Manager to drive growth and expand our service offerings within Swiss market, focusing on strategic client engagement and achieving sales targets.

How you'll make an impact

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed service sales targets for assigned regions and accounts.

  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities for Hitachi's service portfolio, including maintenance, support, consulting, and digital transformation services.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at client organizations.

  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and needs assessment to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.

  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, project management, and product development to ensure alignment between client needs and service delivery capabilities.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proposals tailored to client requirements.

  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify new service opportunities and refine sales strategies.

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance against targets.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Hitachi's service offerings, effectively communicating their value proposition to clients.

  • Mentor and support junior sales team members as needed.


Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in service sales, with a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas.

  • Extensive experience selling complex service solutions (e.g., IT services, industrial maintenance, digital solutions, managed services) to enterprise-level clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies in a competitive market.

  • Strong understanding of various industry sectors relevant to Hitachi's business (e.g., manufacturing, energy, transportation, IT).

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to travel within Switzerland

  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and a results-oriented approach.

  • Solid language skills: German (B2), French (B1) and English fluent; additional language proficiency is a plus.
