Maintenance release of LHMI firmware for Relion® 670/650 series

RELEASE NOTE  1MRG037497 – NOVEMBER 22, 2019

A new revision of LHMI firmware for Relion 670 series version 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 and Relion 650 series version 2.1, 2.2 has been released.

Please read all about the system and security related updates in the release note.

Recommendation to update

We recommend users who have faced issues mentioned in this release note to update to this release.

IED Connect support

Updating to the new LHMI firmware does not require any changes in the installed IED Connectivity Packages for Relion 670/650 series.

Ordering and delivery

All new and existing orders on 670 series versions 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 and 650 series 2.1, 2.2 will be delivered with the updated LHMI firmware.

Procedure for ordering the firmware update:

The LHMI is updated using Field Service Tool (FST). Please follow the below procedure for ordering the FST. 

• Click the link on the news page to access the FST ordering form 
• Fill in the requested data in the new form 
• Fill in the serial numbers of all IEDs to be updated

Please note that it is extremely important that you report back to us via SE-mets.submit@abb.com when the update of the concerned LHMI/IED has been completed. This information is needed to keep our product register updated and to ensure right information to the right local ABB units in the future.
