Maintenance release of REB500 version 7.60 (7.60.19)

A new revision of REB500 version 7.60 has been released. The new revision designation is 7.60.19.

The following has been corrected / improved in the new revision:

System and security related

  • REB500 system could create spontaneous transient alarms when in service.
  • Resolved Denial of Service vulnerability where IED reboots when crafted packets are sent to the IEC 61850-8-1 server.
  • Setting syslog server could cause HMI500 to freeze.

Recommendation to update

We recommend users who have faced issues mentioned above to update to this release.

IED Connect support

Updating to the new firmware does not require any changes in the used HMI500.

Ordering and delivery

New orders placed on REB500 version 7.60 will be delivered with the latest revision 7.60.19. If an earlier version/revision is required, a request shall be made to SA-T sales and an approved deviation shall be in place.
