My Power Grids Story - Donnie-Xuedong Peng

My Power Grids Story - Donnie-Xuedong Peng

Meet Our People | Zurich, Switzerland | 29.04.2020 | 1 min read

I am proud to be Power Grids because whenever I see streetlights switched on, I’m so happy to think that is the effort of all of us.

"I feel strong teamwork and aspiring targets when I’m working at Power Grids. Everyone is full of passion and expecting better future of Power Grids. In 2018, we delivered Dry-transformers (RESIBLOC) for Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, this is another great success to us.

Open mind and innovative work are my favourite aspects of Power Grids’ culture, which inspires me all the time.

I’m focusing on Design-to-value (DtV) which is a part of ‘Power Up’, which aims to simplify design and manufacturing processes – reducing costs and delivery times. This approach helps us and our customers to save materials and labour, making our products more economical and efficient. It’ll enable Power Grids to sustain our leadership position and increase the competitiveness of our products through the alignment and optimization of its development, manufacturing and engineering processes.

I am proud to be Power Grids because whenever I see streetlights switched on, I’m so happy to think that is the effort of all of us.

What excites me most about our future with Hitachi? It is the concept of ‘the morning light crowned the lofty mountain with splendor’. (Mountain = ABB and Hitachi = morning light)"
