My Power Grids Story - Evandro Marzano

My Power Grids Story - Evandro Marzano

Meet Our People | Zurich, Switzerland | 12.02.2021 | 2 min read

I am proud to be Power Grids because through our solutions, we contribute to a sustainable future by help-ing decarbonize the world.

Digitalization will be one of the most important tasks on Power System Analysis very soon. Nowadays, we may get massive data from the network, but the key is to know how to evaluate them correctly. That is exactly where we act! Using the knowledge of equipment, system behaviours and operations combined with big data, blockchain, data science and cybersecurity, my team can provide the best consulting work and solution for any kind of clients.

As an engineering manager at Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ Power Consulting Team, I deal with each and every step of an electrical facility lifecycle—from feasibility to O&M. Together with my highly-qualified team, we try to find the best technical/economical solutions in order to make the Electrical Grid safer, greener and smarter. Spoiler alert: WE DO IT!

The power generation change, from carbon to renewables, is highly related to the evaluations carried out in my work. On a daily basis, my team is prepared to find innovative ways to lessen environmental impact, losses and costs. In the end, the renewable generation needs to be more attractive to the investors to increase the speed of global energy transition.

The best thing is, I have a cooperative team. The team knows exactly where we are and what we need to do to achieve our goals. Everyone is willing to help each other to overcome any kind of issues that we may face.

I see our future together with Hitachi as a win-win situation. It is a well-organized culture that could reinvent itself when facing difficulties gathering a strong worldwide company which has the greatest minds and the necessary expertise to shape the energy future.
