My Power Grids Story - Trina Faigao, Switzerland

As Finance Program and Competency Manager, I am currently developing a comprehensive Finance Training Program – to ensure that we offer guidance on how to properly balance our work and personal life given the new definition of work. The future of Finance will certainly evolve and a focus on digital skills as well as the agile methodology will be on the forefront, therefore, our vision is to offer a robust Finance training program to future-proof our finance colleagues. Soft skills such as business partnering, communication, and collaboration will also be integral to developing well-rounded and successful employees who possess the right mix of skills.  With our commitment to deliver large and medium-scale programs and projects, it is even more critical that we offer the right training to our colleagues to ensure a successful program completion. 

A key component of a successful team – be it a part of an organization or a sports team – is being able to work together efficiently and effectively as well as adapt to multiple changes within the workplace or environment - in order to deliver on our strategy and our goals in support of our vision to create solutions that support a carbon-neutral future.  The pandemic gave us the opportunity to look at new ways of working and collaborating with each other and as we look towards a post-pandemic world, it is crucial that we continue to offer our colleagues—our human capital—the right resources and tools in order for them to succeed not only as individuals but also as a team. 

I am very pleased to be part of Power Grids, especially with its coming together with Hitachi. I know that this team-up will help bring to fruition the company mission, with more speed. I look forward to this partnership. Together, we will succeed!
