Emma Gabrielsson - My Power Grids Story

Meet Our People | Zurich, Switzerland | 06.05.2020 | 1 min read

I am very proud to work at a world-leading factory in Ludvika!

"I work as a transformer winder at ABB Power Grids in Ludvika, Sweden. I have been on parental leave the past year, but in April, I started working again. It is great to get back to work. It is constantly evolving, so much have happened during the year I was away.

I enjoy my job very much. We have a good team spirit and have a good collaboration with other sections of the production and with those working at the office. We discuss, among other things, how we can reduce material use and how to make our products more environmentally smart. Technology is advancing and Power Grids is constantly striving to develop new solutions for a sustainable society.

It feels good to have Hitachi--such a large, well-established company--behind us. In addition, it is nice to know that we are entering this new phase with Power Grid's stability and good reputation. The fact that we develop record-setting products in Ludvika, such a small town in Sweden, gives me extra energy. We are actually the ones doing it - it is very inspiring!”
