Global Software Sales Leader Asset and Work Management

The Global Head of Software Sales for the Asset and Work Management business is responsible for leading and executing the global sales strategy, achieving the defined sales targets in order to drive growth and market share for Hitachi Energy's Enterprise Software Solutions. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing a global sales team, and ensuring alignment with the organization's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development and Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global sales strategy for the Asset and Work Management business.
  • Conducts market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Uses market intelligence to inform sales strategies and business planning and oversees feedback loops to product teams.

Sales Performance

  • Establishes sales targets and ensures their achievement through effective planning, monitoring, and performance management. Implements improvement plans as needed to meet or exceed targets.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, guide, and develop a diverse global sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth  
  • Ensures the team has the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to succeed. Drives a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Market Analysis and Business Intelligence

  • Conduct comprehensive market assessments to understand global dynamics and adapt strategies to capitalize on international market opportunities  
  • Analyze market trends and sales data to produce accurate forecasts and recommendations.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the successful adoption and utilization of CRM tools and systems across the sales team  
  • Manages and nurtures key customer relationships to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. Acts as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts and oversees the resolution of customer issues.

Sales Process Optimization

  • Develop, refine, and enhance global sales processes and workflows to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline operations.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Establish and maintain rigorous compliance standards within the global sales operations team, ensuring adherence to company policies, international regulations, and ethical guidelines 

Sales Performance and Reporting

  • Oversees sales operations, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Ensures the efficient and effective execution of sales processes and the use of sales tools and technologies.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in software sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in CRM software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite 
    • Strong ability to analyze data and market trends to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey strategies, reports, and presentations to various stakeholders
