Internship - General Accounting

The opportunity

Are you a finance or accounting student eager to gain hands-on experience in a global organization? Join our dynamic and collaborative General Ledger (GL) team at Hitachi Energy for a 3-month internship that offers real-world exposure to core accounting processes, mentorship from experienced professionals, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful financial operations.

As a GL Accounting Intern, you’ll support our experienced finance team in daily and monthly accounting activities. You’ll gain insight into how a multinational company manages its financial reporting and compliance, while developing practical skills.

How you'll make an impact

• Assisting with general accounting tasks such as journal entries and reconciliations

• Supporting the month-end close process

• Learning how to use ERP systems (SAP 4Hana)

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Controllers

• Participating in internal control procedures and documentation

• Observing how we adapt accounting practices to changing business needs and regulations

Your background

• A university student currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, graduating in 2026 or later

• Eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, international environment

• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel (basic functions and pivot tables are a plus)

• Proficient in English (written and spoken)

• Detail-oriented, analytical, and a team player
