The opportunity:

Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact. We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDCSubstationsFACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.

The Grid Integration Energy System Project Manager leads the execution of projects and ensures that all related activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. Supports the organization in process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution.

How you’ll make an impact:
 

  • You will lead the project execution team, define execution strategy, and oversee planning, monitoring, financials, and resources used to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and smooth handover.

  • You will manage project risks and opportunities, ensure contract closure, procure resources, support negotiations and changes, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships while serving as the main customer contact and escalation point.

  • You will lead the project execution team, define guidelines, assign tasks, and monitor performance. Collaborate on project planning documents, including scope, schedule, financial, and risk plans, ensuring all planning activities are properly executed by the team.

  • You will Ensure project execution aligns with best practices and policies, monitor progress, financials, and resource use, manage risks and opportunities, capture lessons learned, and drive formal project acceptance and contract close-out with customer acknowledgment.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within Project Management , in the similar segment/industry

  • Proven experience managing projects under various contractual models, including turnkey and service-based contracts.

  • Proficient in project scheduling and tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and Power BI for reporting.

  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 is considered an advantage. Project Management certification is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrates flexibility, strong teamwork capabilities, results orientation, proactivity, and excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

  • Solid understanding of OSHA standards is highly desirable.
