The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

• You will run feasibility studies, propose and develop new technical concepts, design new products, and simulate their expected performance.

• You will organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/products.

• You will provide technical support to other departments when needed (engineering, product management, marketing, and sales etc.).

• You will participate in, and assist team members in a variety of more complex engineering activities.

• You will do global collaboration with scientists of Hitachi Energy Research team and Technology Centers, Technology Managers and Engineers from the various Power Grids DT Factories.

• You will support with sound data analysis within the databases and tools used by Hitachi Energy and later contribution to the tools development.

• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• You hold a degree in MSc education within Electrical or Mechanical Engineering field.

• Any work experience in electrical engineering, design and product development will be an advantage.

• Experience in sound related activities, testing and international standards.

• Experience with Power Transformers.

• Ability to use simulations tools will be an advantage.

• Ability to create technical documentation with tools like Creo, AutoCAD etc.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Proficiency in business level in verbal and written English.
