Cyber Security and Network Project Engineer

The Opportunity
 

Service Control Engineering is a specialized team of engineers working globally to maintain and improve the control systems of Power quality solutions. We support our customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their systems—from warranty throughout the lifetime of the plant—ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
 

Our work spans from control systems, HMI, SCADA, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity, with increasing complexity and customization in the Station Operating and Monitoring System (SOM). As part of our team, you’ll contribute to both secure communication solutions and customers cyber security solutions, working closely with customers and colleagues across the globe.
 

As Cyber Security and Network Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and developing cyber security, communication and network solutions in our installed base. You’ll work on fault tracing, updates, and improvements—often remotely—and support customers with both technical expertise and a collaborative mindset.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and update service projects related to network solutions, communication (e.g. MicroSCADA) and cybersecurity.

  • Work in challenging service and upgrade projects, delivering high-quality and cost-effective engineering solutions.

  • Deliver solutions that meet customer expectations in terms of quality, budget, and timelines.

  • Perform fault tracing, design, implementation, verification, and commissioning of system updates.

  • Provide hands-on support for routers, firewalls, switches, servers, and SCADA communication systems.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external cybersecurity standards, regulations, and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with global teams, project managers, suppliers, and customers to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Travel to customer sites for patch updates, fault tracing, and on-site support when needed, while sharing expertise and training within the global organization.

Your Background

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or similar).

  • Experience in control systems, networking, or cybersecurity within industrial or power systems.

  • Familiarity with MicroSCADA, MACH™ system, or substation automation is a plus.

  • Previous experience with network equipment such as firewalls, switches, GPS clocks, and redundant network designs and protocols.

  • Experience in VLAN, Redundant protocols, Time Sync, RBAC, Network access control, VPN, PKI, SSL, IPSec, understanding of OT environment components and OT security, OSI layers

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working with global teams and customers.

  • Fluent in English; Swedish is a strong advantage.
