The opportunity

Manufacturing Production Scheduling work focuses on scheduling production, processing, assembly, and packaging activities including: Scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process. Selecting and sequencing available resources and required processing to individual work centers or lines. Implementing scheduling changes due to backlogs, design changes, machine downtime or material/labor shortages A Team Leader (M2) supervises professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some para-professional employees. Responsibilities typically include: Setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex. Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Ensure all production activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, monitor and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Allocate resources, tools, and equipment to meet production targets.
  • Sequence tasks and assign workloads to work centers or production lines. Adjust schedules in response to design changes, backlogs, machine downtime, or material/manpower shortages.
  • Communicate changes and updates effectively to internal stakeholders and team members. Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks and implement best practices. Ensure in process quality checks and skill certification of blue-collar employees.
  • Blue collar management for optimum qualitative output. Drive operational efficiency and enhance productivity across our manufacturing processes.
  • Take ownership of equipment and facility performance within the production line, and proactively recommend technical improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety
  • Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities in production area and lead improvement activities (JDI, Kaizens, A3) and oversees implementation and deployment of actions to improve production performance.
  • Lead Technology Transfer of new products for Production and participate in all the Greenfield/Brownfield projects for new facility development, expansion, or incorporation in existing line.
  • Leading the Lean Light House deployment with factory operations team. Set clear goals and objectives for team members aligned with operational outcomes.
  • Supervise professional and para-professional staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members. Oversee the entire production process, from the initial manufacturing stages through to final packing and dispatch to ensure overall operational efficiency
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering - Mechanical/Electrical with 8-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment required, preferably from Switchgear Industry.
  • Hand on experience on using S4 HANA / SAP (PP & MM modules). Should have high attitude for quality.
  • Experienced professional in Continuous Improvement. (Greenbelt in Lean Sis Sigma is an advantage).
  • Proven track record in driving quality and continuous improvement across operations
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
