Dry bushings (RIP/RIS) and OLTC for Power Transformers


There are two major shifts of technology happening in the transformer component market.

Vacuum tap-changers taking over from oil-breaking technology driven by the need of less maintenance.

Oil Impregnated Paper bushings replace by dry bushings to increase safety for personnel and equipment in the substations.

Bsc in Electrical Engineering from Karlstad, Sweden.

Working for ASEA/Hitachi Energy/Hitachi Energy since 1983 with transformers, shunt reactors, and transformer components as specialty the last 20 years. Spent two years in UAE.

Based in Ludvika, Sweden as Product Marketing Specialist for bushings and tap-changers with assignments all over the world with a focus on Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Active in CIGRE working groups.
