Leyla Asgarieh

I am proud that I had participated as secretary of the Asset management for distribution networks with high penetration of distribution energy resources working group, which is an interesting and important topic in CIGRE, and hoping that what we develop today can help drive the future of sustainable energy.

I am Leyla Asgarieh, a principal consultant at Hitachi ABB Power Grids. I specialize in asset management and as well as all other topics related to distribution grids. For this year, I authored the CIGRE paper, B3-205: Value Quantification for Digital Substations in HV Transmission Grids.

Since 2011, I have been a staff member of the company’s Power Consulting Group in Germany. As an engineer, I handle asset management, long-term planning, asset simulation, reliability centered maintenance and failure mode effect analysis. I also have special knowledge and experience in ageing models, condition assessment of equipment and economic efficiency calculations. In 2017, I became a principal consultant for asset management and since 2018, in addition for distribution grids.

Leyla holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and Business Administration and received her PHD degree in Power Systems Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany.
