Our local product group Insulation & Components is the technology leader in design and manufacture of high voltage transformer bushings. All renowned international companies of the electrical industry, active in power generation, transmission and distribution are among our customers. We have a top position in the high voltage bushing areas worldwide.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced high voltage engineer with core knowledge in electrical engineering to support our laboratory processes and collaborate with our colleagues from Service, Engineering and Sales.

In your role you will be able to share your experience in an operational environment, your know-how will support our Quality and Process Engineering team to solve the process deviations, trough collaboration and lean tools.

Your responsibilities

  • Electrical, thermal and specialized tests for our High Voltage bushing product line. Decide to plan in house or externally, considering the constraints given by the available resources and budget. 

  • Lead in house FAT’s with the customers and perform routine, type and/or special tests, when required.

  • Ensure full functionality and safety of the laboratories (including updating maintenance plans, instructions and training materials)

  • Secure the required quality of bushing and traceability through process instructions.

  • As a deputy of head of testing, manage the operational activities such as resources management. As part of the operations department, you need to be able to understand and fully support our daily business.

  • Project management of mid to small projects

  • Question and reflect all procedures and instructions as part of continuous improvement processes (CIP)

Your background

  • Successful studies in electrical engineering or equivalent, Bachelor or Master of Science.

  • Experience in the field of high voltage, testing or electrical machine and experience in Production environment is a plus

  • Understanding of the ISO 9001 and ISO 17025

  • Business fluent German and good English - both spoken and written

  • Team spirit, high social competence, and enjoyment of working in a multicultural environment

  • Flexibility and Technology enthusiastic

  • Proactive towards problem solving

  • Organized character with ability to prioritize
