Hitachi Energy is looking for a Legal Counsel to support our Team in Switzerland!
In this position you will be supporting the local and holding operations on a variety of topics as well as the Swiss business operations with a main focus on tendering and contract negotiations.
You will provide support on corporate governance, transactional matters and corporate housekeeping.
Primarily work location is Baden, with occasional work from Oerlikon as required.
Your responsibilities
Comprehensive legal support to local Product Groups and Business Lines in all domestic and international legal aspects, in particular contract law
Protection and enforcement of company interests in negotiation with third parties, before government agencies as well as before state courts and arbitral tribunals
Provide advice and guidance on corporate governance for all Swiss companies, including drafting of board resolutions, documentation for commercial registry, shareholder and board meetings, cooperation with notary public, drafting/review of policies
Collaboration in interdisciplinary project teams and with the legal teams in the DACH-cluster and at holding level
Involvement in Risk Management and other internal processes
Management and supervision of external law firms along quality and budget targets
Training of Company employees in all legal matters
Your background
Master degree in Law, additional qualifications acquired in the US or UK are an asset
Qualification as attorney-at-law (ideally admitted to practice in Switzerland)
Legal generalist, ideally with first experience in contract and corporate law
Ability to close intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration with teams worldwide
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Business fluent in German and English, French is an asset
Up to approximately 3 years post-qualification working experience
