Thaïna Lemperiere #BreakTheBias

My name is Thaïna Lempérière, I am 33 years old, a Swiss-French dual citizen, born and raised in the city of Zurich and have lived in Baden for more than 15 years. I speak 5 languages fluently - French, German, English, Italian and Spanish. From childhood on I grew up "multicultural". Starting with my Italian and my Peruvian nanny, a Greek-South African grandmother and a Swiss mother.

Meeting people of diverse backgrounds, cultures and traditions continued during my Business Management studies with exchange semesters in Durban, South Africa and an internship in Vancouver, Canada. It helped me get a better perspective and increased my awareness and reflect on cultural biases. After gaining eight years of experience in the power and grids sector, I moved on to Hitachi Energy last September of 2021 as Marketing Manager Germany, Austria, Switzerland and have been working at the location Baden ever since. Being integrated into the Swiss sales team and being at the forefront of what moves our customers and partners inspires and interests me greatly.

On the pulse of our customers and partners

What excites me most is that I can plan projects strategically as well as implement them operationally.

Always being in a lively exchange with the team, our clients and partners, having my finger on the pulse of idea generation processes and operating in the midst of an open, constructive feedback culture is something I find not only exciting but also motivating.

Not to forget, meeting and getting to know people from different industries at events or conferences, which characterizes and fulfills my daily work. In this sense: like many others, I look forward to a time when our business lives are not restricted due to the Coronavirus.

With "Drive" on the job

After the event is before the event, as they say. Experiencing appreciation and gratitude from the team, hearing a heartfelt "thank you" from vendors and customers makes me proud. And also, being appreciated for my positive manner and my drive.

It is important for me to market products, techniques, and energy solutions that contribute to a sustainable energy future (Sustainability 2030) and thus, bring us a step closer to a better world. What is just as important to me are the people with whom I work, with whom I celebrate successes, accept defeats and who have already grown close to my heart.
