The opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as an HSE engineer and be an expert. This role allows you to gain in-depth knowledge of the specific market and provide our clients with the best-in-class product. You'll play a crucial role in making a significant impact on our business growth and customer satisfaction and contribute to building a team/function. How you’ll make an impact

  • You will share feedback on lessons learned and best practice from your own unit and across Hitachi to management and employees. Reports on progress on implementation of Hitachi Group Sustainability objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to Hitachi Group, as required.

  • You will ensure that area of responsibility is audited according to the program for auditing and assisting project managers in understanding project site HSE obligations and liability to fulfil site HSE roles, according to local HSE law and Hitachi Group policy, instructions and standards.

  • You will facilitate HSE risks assessment by line management involving project site management, support site management team, contractors' employees and workmen, i.e. those directly concerned by the hazards, ensure all processes are implemented, conduct and lead the basic concepts such like risk assessment and environmental aspects & impact assessment.

  • You will communicate and engage in project customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on Hitachi's HSE efforts and performance and obtain objectives feedback to drive project site HSE performance. You will coach and guide front line project site management of staffs ensure the safety culture and prevention activities in project site.

  • You will ensure appropriate safety equipment and tools are available and used, identify, and ensure delivery Hitachi Group management systems, engage project site safety documents as per customer requirements & involve on risk review at project site and following HSE assessment & evaluation on selection stage, conduct safety briefing regarding requirements to project manager and HSE management level.

  • You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in EE/ mechanical engineering is a plus.

  • 3 years working in the HSE field (Preferable to work on Sub-station business).

  • Required with OHS license above Level B.

  • Full time site safety management experience, site work experience in tsmc is a plus.

  • Knowledge about workplace risk assessment methodologies and techniques.

  • Good at local law in occupational safety and health field.

  • Domestic travel frequently.

  • Basic level of English for write and reading in work function
