Internship in Traction Transformer Design Tool Implementation 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You will support internal clients with technical advice across international teams and multiple sites also contribute to the implementation of a global traction transformer design tool.

2. You will work in a multicultural environment that fosters learning and development, collaborate with mechanical on client-specific solutions.

3. You will engage with CAD tools to support design-related tasks and processes.

4. You will develop and apply electrical design rules using Matlab and VBA, also enhance tool efficiency through programming and process optimization.

5. You will deliver well-documented implementations from initial contact to final solution.

6. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You can currently studying Mechanical Engineering in a bachelor's or master's degree program.

2. Experience with VBA, SQL, or Matlab is a plus.

3. Basic understanding of mechanical engineering and 3D design.

4. Strong team player with proactive mindset paired with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

5. Good English level.
