The opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Project HSE (Contractor) and be an expert. This role allows you to gain in-depth knowledge of the specific market and provide our clients with the best-in-class product. You'll play a crucial role in making a significant impact on our business growth and customer satisfaction and contribute to building a team/function. How you’ll make an impact

  • You will be supporting in Metrics Reports HSE incidents. Feeds back on lessons learned and best practice from own unit and across Hitachi to management and employees. Reports progress on implementation of Hitachi Group Sustainability objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to Hitachi Group, as required.

  • You will regulatory compliance Implements policies and standards. Ensures area of responsibility is audited according to program for audit. Assists project managers in understanding project site HSE obligations and liability to fulfil site HSE roles, according to local HSE law and Hitachi Group policy, instructions and standards. Live Hitachi's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility in own project actions in the site.

  • You will be supporting in risk management facilitates HSE risks assessment by line management involving project site management, support site management team, contractors' employees and workmen, i.e. those directly concerned by the hazards, and ensures all processes are implemented. Conduct and lead the basic concepts such as risk assessment and environmental aspects & impact assessment.

  • You will be in communication and engagement project customers, suppliers and other stakeholders in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on Hitachi's HSE efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback to drive project site HSE performance. Coach and guide front line project site management of staff ensure the safety culture and prevention activities in project site.

  • You will ensure appropriate safety equipment and tools are available and used. Identifies, and ensures delivery Hitachi Group management systems. Engage project site safety documents as per customer requirements & involve on risk review at project site. Following HSE assessment & evaluation on selection stage, conduct safety briefing regarding requirements to project manager and HSE management level.

  • You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree or above, in Occupation Health and Safety / Industrial Engineering/ Environmental Engineering.

  • Required with 3 years working on HSE field (Preferable to work on Power substation and construction business).

  • Full time experience in leading and managing project execution sites.

  • High Domestic travel frequency.
