The opportunity

Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact.

We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.

How you’ll make an impact

  • You will sell products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups and establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promotes customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and aligns to provide a solution. Ensures positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

  • You will prepare sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.

  • You will create added value for the customer and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals. Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi Energy’s offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions). After contact, execution shall be handled until the products/completion of services at site.

  • You will ensure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers and identifies and drives the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross BU collaboration (Services BU).

  • You manage administrative procedures in sales processes and support collection and project management activities when needed.

  • You will prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

  • You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree majored in engineering (Electrical background is a Plus).

  • Required with sales experience in power industry segment (Especially for Service business).

  • Experience in renewable, Data Center, industrial and power utility market in Japan, experience in utilizing CRM system (SFDC).

  • Products knowledge in HV Grid substation covering GIS, Transformer, MV Switchgears and protection and control.

  • Equipment for Grid interconnection with extra- high / high voltage (66 to 300kV), Switchgear (GIS), Main Transformer and MV Switchgear at substation, Protection, Control and Monitoring (IED), Battery Energy Storage System.

  • Power Quality Solutions (STATCOM, Harmonic filters, Capacitor Bank, Frequency Convertor). Not limited to Hitachi Energy’s products but also 3rd party’s products which Hitachi Energy delivered.

  • Business level English / Native level Japanese
