How you’ll make an impact

  • You will develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, understanding their business objectives and challenges.

  • You will identify and pursue new sales opportunities within existing accounts and through proactive prospecting to expand Hitachi Energy's market share.

  • You will prepare and present compelling proposals, product demonstrations, and technical solutions to clients, effectively articulating value propositions.

  • You will negotiate contracts and close sales agreements, ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies.

  • You will collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams, project management, and customer service to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • You will monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and inform sales strategies.

  • You will prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and analyses to track progress against targets and provide insights into management.

  • You will attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to network and represent Hitachi Energy and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

  • You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Living Hitachi Energy’s core values safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration or/and Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in account management or sales within the energy, power utility, or related industrial sector.

  • Strong understanding of the Japanese energy market and its regulatory landscape is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and negotiate complex deals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Willingness to travel frequently within Japan and occasionally internationally.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in both Japanese and English (written and spoken).

Working Conditions and benefits:

Working hours: 900-1730 (1hr break). Flex time is applicable.
