Engineering Quality Manager

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You work closely with BU/GPG/HUB quality team to support factory to improve the design quality and guide factory to implement DFMEA in systematic way and follow up the execution as needed.

2. You will establish and maintain engineering quality guideline on HUB engineering level.

3. You drive the investigation of serious quality issue caused by engineering and introduce or share the best practice cross HUBs/Factories in terms of design quality improvement.

4. You coordinate HUB virtue teams to deep dive specific field and accumulate the knowledge in these field to improve design quality accordingly.

5. You work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a quality culture in place.

6. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.

2. Strong team leadership and teamwork with cross-functional communications and influential skills.

3. Customer focused; Self-motivated, energized, and results oriented.

4. Creative thinking with demonstrated analytical skills and structured work approach.

5. Ability to work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments.

6. Willingness to travel.

7. Fluent in English (both speaking and writing).
