Your responsibilities

As Design Engineer:

• Evaluate customer specifications and identify mechanical requirements related environment, product configurations.
• Perform basic mechanical load calculation to prove compliance with requirements.
• Lead test and calculations effort for meeting customer requirements including development of test plans and its execution.
• Maintain and update product data in PLM.
• Support engineering team in creating product outline drawings based on customer requirements
• Lead task-based quality improvement and cost saving projects.
• Create, maintain and update QA plans, components drawings, SOP’s and assembly drawings in PLM.
• Support manufacturing to resolve assembly issues and product improvement, processes based on feedback.
• Constantly evaluate feedback from marketing and lead a small task-based teams for addressing customer requirements.
•  Lead implementation and industrialization of new products and processes as required.
• Improve engineering processes to address manufacturing requirement of engineering information accurately and with speed.
• Responsible for mechanical design evaluation of instrument transformers to meet customer specifications.
• Support supply chain management to resolve suppliers’ queries for component manufacturing or design requirements.
• Create, maintain and update relevant component information in MM module of SAP.
• Maintain, review update type test reports and close gaps in type testing.
• Lead customer homologation efforts with test requirement evaluation, development of test plans and product evaluation etc.

Your background;

Qualification Required               :           BE mechanical  

Experience                                           :Minimum of 3 to 7 years’ experience working instrument transformer design and engineering or in product engineering of high voltage equipment design and engineering.

Domain Knowledge                               : mechanical load calculation, manufacturing processes, component modeling in 3D modeling and previous work experience in electrical component manufacturing industry preferred.

Tools                                                    : Auto- CAD (Advanced ), Pro-E (Advanced ), SAP (MM module) (basic), MS tools.

Soft Skills                                              : Result oriented, Positive and structured Attitude towards work, good Communication skills required.

Travel                                              :       10%
