The opportunity

HVDC is now looking for a seasoned Project Lead Engineer (f/m/d) who is ready to take on the overall technical responsibility in HVDC projects and tenders. In this role, you will utilize your technical expertise and take the lead on projects and tenders where you will have the responsibility to coordinate global project teams. The activities associated with this role include, but are not limited to, engineering and design, planning, and risk assessments. You will act as a technical liaison and primary point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Serve as the primary contact for technical matters with customers
  • Ensure complete and multidisciplinary information in engineering development
  • Lead the development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges
  • Drive the completion of all engineering activities on projects
  • Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities
  • Prepare project documents within budget, scope, and contract
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate potential risks
  • Maintain technical quality in contracts, documents, and deliveries


Your Background

  • Academic degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering or similar)
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar lead role
  • Experience with HVDC technology is a plus
  • Power industry experience or similar a must
  • Communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to take a leading role and deliver quality results
  • Fluency in English and German, both verbally and in writing, is required. Other languages are a great advantage
  • Up to 30% travel required
