Tender/Quotation Specialist

The opportunity:

As a Tender/Quotation Specialist for Dry/Distribution Transformer Business of Savli factory, you will be part of Indian Operation Center in India (INOPC), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across market. You will support tendering activities of Dry/Distribution Transformer Business & play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless Marketing planning & operations. Work location will be based out of Chennai, TamilNadu.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

• Visit customer based on necessity & involve in techno-commercial discussions supporting sales team.

• Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions.

• Support Sales team in handling customer queries, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets.

• Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

• Prepares sales plans for your assigned geography or segment using company tools and drive business. Performs regular status reviews in conjunction with PMM and company strategy.

• Create backup plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls. Communication with Hitachi Energy internal Hub team, GPG & factories for fine functioning of implementation plans.

• Creates added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensures the successful outcome of
  transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. 

• Create and own risk reviews during quotation stage and ensure smooth handover of project

• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, with 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Distribution Transformer Tendering or Front End Sales.

• Knowledge in Dry Type Transformers will be an added advantage.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word.

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
