Sales & Tender Manager 80-100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated self-driven Sales & Tender Manager to strengthen the Global Competence Center Power Conversion Sales team part of Power Grids Grid Integration Business Unit.

In this position you are responsible for sales of the Grid Integration portfolio with focus on Power Conversion (Static Frequency and Power Quality System Applications) Solutions from lead generation to final negotiation, contract signature and handover to the execution team. During the sales pursuits you will be supported by an interdisciplinary tender team, which you in some cases will lead yourself, which will support during technical clarifications and commercial negotiations.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop strong networks with Customers and Suppliers to gain valuable Market insights and identify future business opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with the Front-End Sales team to transform leads into opportunities that drive our business forward
  • Understand and empathize with Customer requirements and needs during the acquisition phase
  • Shape innovative sales strategies, selecting winning solutions both commercially and technically
  • Lead the sales and tender process, engaging capture teams where necessary, supported by a diverse interdisciplinary team including engineering, project management, legal, commercial, and supply chain management
  • Prepare comprehensive, timely, and technically sound commercial offers
  • Lead negotiations with Customers, addressing both technical and commercial aspects
  • Ensure seamless integration of Supplier offers, risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and tender completeness
  • Successfully transition negotiated projects to the project execution and engineering departments

Your background

  • Proven experience in Sales, Marketing, Tendering, Product Management, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant subject
  • Fluency in English and German. Proficiency in other languages would be an advantage
  • Exceptional communication skills, projecting confidence when engaging with Customers at all levels, from technical teams to top management
  • Experience in Power Electronics, MV Frequency Converters, Power Quality applications, or Grid Integration is desirable
  • Familiarity with the Power Generation or Grid Intertie Applications Market is an asset
  • Skilled in collaborating within cross-functional, cross-border teams, while embracing flexible working arrangements
  • Openness to travel approximately 20% of your working time
