Electrical Design Engineer.

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Electrical Design Engineer for the Business Unit Transformers to join our innovative and forward-thinking team in the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India, you will play a crucial role in the development and design of innovative products and systems that meet our customer needs and industry standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project specifications are met while adhering to industry standards and design best practices. Your expertise in engineering principles and practices will contribute to optimizing designs for performance, functionality, and sustainability.
 

How you’ll make an impact

• The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in oil Type Transformer up to 25 MVA 36 kV Class design covering different countries.

• Influence specification at the tender and pre-tender stage, through conceptual discussions.

• Responsible to prepare electrical design (Quotation & order) meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / IEC /IS standards as per project schedule.

• Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule.

• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.

• Participation in internal design concept reviews.

• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.

• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your background

• B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering.

•  2-8 years’ experience working in Electrical design for Distribution oil type Transformers Manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.

• Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics

• Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards.

• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.

• Experience on Microsoft office and tools.

• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

• Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
